Underground Vaults & Storage Recognized for Safety Record

Underground Vaults and Storage, Inc.’s (UV&S) Hutchinson Salt Mine facility and Corporate Offices were recognized for its outstanding safety record through the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP). This marks the second time in 2 years these facilities garnered this recognition.

SHARP is a nationwide program initiated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and recognizes small employers who operate an exemplary safety and health management system. UV&S is one of only 90 SHARP-certified companies in the state of Kansas.

We’re extremely proud to be recognized once again for the safety of our employees and work environment, said Lee Spence, President of UV&S. Safety and security are emphasized daily at UV&S and every employee should feel proud to have done their part in receiving this recognition.

The SHARP certification lasts for two years, and can be regularly renewed after that by maintaining all eligibility requirements.
