Underground Vaults & Storage, Inc. Boosts Social Media Presence with Twitter

The Underground Vaults & Storage (UV&S) Twitter page was officially introduced this week in an ongoing effort to keep clients and business partners informed of their latest services and developments.

Ranked as one of the 50 most popular websites worldwide (by Alexa Internet, Inc.), Twitter is a micro-blogging service that allows users to read and provide short updates of 140 characters or less. The UV&S Twitter page can be viewed by going to http://twitter.com/#!/undergroundvlts.

Marketing Specialist Nancy Young stated UV&S hopes to broaden its reach to clients by staying abreast of changes in information technology. Our membership with Twitter will complement the traditional methods we have in place to inform our clients of information about our company.

Twitter is an informal, multi-directional pipeline that allows us to get information out quickly. It also serves as an excellent channel for prospective clients to learn about how a partnership with UV&S can benefit their companies.

With their expansion in social media, UV&S joins a rapidly growing number of businesses using social media technology. According to the Cone Business in Social Media Study, 60% of Americans use social media, and 59% or those interact with companies on social media web sites.

Young pointed out that we will absolutely continue traditional communications with our clients. This will not take the place of what we have done in the past, it will simply add to that.

UV&S also has a corporate blog which can be found at www.undergroundvaults.com/blog. On Facebook, they host the group Friends of Underground Vaults and Storage which can be viewed at facebook.com/undergroundvaults.

Underground Vaults & Storage Inc. (UV&S), a privately-held information and records management company established in 1959, operates 3 underground and 3 above ground secure storage facilities. It is perhaps known best for storing millions of items including movie films, data tapes, and paper records, within a 650 foot deep salt mine in Kansas. Clients from across the United States and around the world entrust important records, data, and assets to Underground Vaults & Storage.
