Oil and Gas Records
Storage
From geology maps to 4-D seismic
data. The oil
and gas industry has come a long way since we first began storing
geological
maps in the early 1960’s.
Core samples, well logs, seismic
data tapes;
we store it all for some of the biggest energy companies in the
world.
Oil
and gas records are more like assets than records – tremendously valuable
to exploration and production. Seismic maps are data intensive,
requiring massive amounts of storage.
Underground Vaults & Storage offers
three unique facilities for seismic data libraries, support
data, business records, maps, and core
samples.
We offer same day retrieval, same day shipping, and a wholly-owned
transportation fleet to meet your needs for fast, secure
access. |

Underground
Seismic Data Vaults Imagine
a climate-controlled bank vault, 650 ft below the earth’s
surface, encased in a 400 ft thick rock member, with only
two vertical access points, positioned in rural Kansas. There
is no more secure place for your seismic data than our salt
mine facility in Hutchinson. We also offer climate-controlled, data
vaults in our limestone
mine facilities in Kansas City and Louisville, with the added
benefits of dock access and proximity to metropolitan areas.
The unique underground atmosphere at these facilities is
naturally cool and dry, regardless of weather or season;
an ideal environment for magnetic
media.
Private rooms and vaults offer additional security. Some
rooms are 15,000 sq ft, we have more than 800 acres of
space available for expansion. Options include wall construction,
vault door style, climate control, filtration, monitoring,
restricted access, work areas, custom racking (or you can
supply your own), and more.
We can assist with identifying segments of oil data such
as shot lines and observer reports. |

Legacy
Magnetic Media Archiving Technologies
and media change, but the need to store seismic
maps and data remains the same. If conversion to newer
media is not cost effective, place your legacy seismic media
in our care. We’re no strangers to
9 track and 21 track tapes – some of our current
oil and gas clients retain data on this media.
We also partner with companies who convert seismic data
to new generation media. |

Document
and Map Storage
Boxed document storage is available
in all of our facilities. We can securely archive your flat maps,
rolled maps, blueprints and books. Every item is identified, barcoded,
and tracked. |

Same
Day Retrieval and Shipping
You may ask, “Why send it miles
away, when I can have it up the street?” Protection from disaster
and theft aside – we offer same day retrieval, same day shipping,
and a secure transportation fleet. |
