HISTORY CHANNEL TO FILM UNDERGROUND FOR UPCOMING MODERN MARVELS EPISODE

HUTCHINSON, KS – A production company will be in Hutchinson on Wednesday, August 18, shooting footage for the History Channel’s television show, Modern Marvels. The video crew will be underground in the salt mine documenting the activity that happens 650’ under the earth’s surface on a daily basis.

The episode, airing at a yet-to-be-determined future date, highlights underground marvels from around the country. While in Hutchinson, focus will be placed on the mining process of the Hutchinson Salt Company, the secure storage facility and motion picture clients of Underground Vaults & Storage, and the Kansas Underground Salt Museum, the world-class educational facility and tourist attraction located in the mine.
